Great news,
Following our recent closure to facilitate strip upgrade works the field is now:
Open for flying and general use from Sunday 12/10/25.

The SAAMBR Committee would like to reiterate however that as you will see for yourself, while grass has grown significantly to date, we will not be mowing it at this time to allow the grass to cover a little more. Mowing will commence when it is more practical to do so. Flying conditions are not ideal and not all models will be suitable to fly at this time so please be mindful of this while choosing what models to fly.
The field will be open for socialising and flying. The closed signs on the front gates will be removed as of Sunday 12/10/25. The Management Committee would like to sincerely thank all members for your ongoing patience and for the many supportive emails received to date.
Also should anyone wish to contribute to the strip maintenance works, could you kindly forward an email to the club Secretary as we are seeking more help to ensure the strips are watered daily.
Further advice will become available regarding the field status as we progress. Hopefully some much need rain will expedite the grass growth soon.
SUMMARY: The field is OPEN and please be mindful of the poly pipes laying on the ground, this could be a trip hazard. Flying is at your own risk and the committee is not responsible for any damage to models.
Your continued support is very much appreciated.
